I was born a child of Rome but grew to be a child of the gods. I was crafted to be the champion of Juno but rose up to be a hero of Olympus. Now, I will create my own path. I will keep my promise to represent all the gods and to protect their children, or I will die trying.

“ Dude! You should totally let me borrow your glasses for a day - no, no, no wait! Just hear me out! Like what if I could make them really high tech? Like, x-ray vision, actually scratch that part, I think the girls would murder me… But maybe lasers shooting out of them?? Like that one dude in X-men! ”
"Calm down Leo,“ he laughed, putting his hands up as if to tell the other demigod ‘whoa, slow down there.’ "Lasers would cool, but I’m still trying to get used to the things as they are right now. I don’t want to accidentally fry someone who walks into my room. And for the x-ray vision… Yeah the girls would murder us.” Jason shook his head. “But they’re not all that they’re cracked up to be. Seeing is great, don’t get me wrong, but they’re just glasses.”
“Then you’re gonna be standin’ there a long, long time.” Leo murmured, pulling some wires out of his tool belt and fiddling with them. He couldn’t look Jason in the eye, couldn’t stand the anger and resentment he saw there.
He didn’t understand why Jason didn’t just give up on it; why he had to keep the argument going. He just wanted to curl up in a ball in the engine room and listen to Festus’s creaks of “it’s okay.”
“I have time.” He didn’t really have time, but he had enough for the moment to work through this. How hard was it for Leo to just tell him? Why couldn’t he just answer the question so they could both move on?
But when he looked at himself and his actions Jason knew he didn’t have any right to talk. He was standing there being stubborn, not caving to the demands of his friend. After a long sigh he spoke again, “Just..talk to me please. Just tell me why.”
