“Oh yeah. No, I do. I’ve just never actually talked to the kid, and whenever anyone mentions him that’s usually what they say.” He shrugs a little, pushing himself upright to better see the other. He’s doing his very best to seem pleasant, fighting down the instinct to snap at the other. He has few enough friends as it is. “Alex Kelly. It’s a pleasure, really. I’m just terrible at showing it.”
He shook his head, a small smile on his face. He’d heard…well a little more than heard, about Nico’s problems here at camp but at least some of the campers were trying. So that was a good thing. “I understand. Not all of us are good at expressing what they want to,” Jason answered, giving a small nod of understanding. “Maybe some food could help?”
